Another Legendary Pokemon Gets a Mega Evolution In Sapphire and Ruby Re-releases

Who's that Pokemon?
As we get closer to the launch of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire more information seems to trickle out. We already know about the Primal Reversion evolutions for both Kyogre and Groudon, but Rayquaza has been mysteriously absent, until now.

During a 7 hour live stream for the games in Japan it was revealed that Rayquaza will be getting his own Mega Evolution. Looking like a mix between an ancient Chinese dragon and a large oar fish, the mega version of the legendary dragon packs two unique abilities: Delta Stream and Dragon Ascent.

Delta Stream is a passive ability that protects all flying type Pokemon. This means that any attacks that are super effective against flying types are registered as dealing regular damage. Suck it electric types! Dragon Ascent is a powerful new attack, though details were scant.

Pretty interesting that this legendary that is so tied to the lore of Kyogre and Groudon will receive a Mega Evolution and not a Primal Revision. Theories? For more news on Pokemon, Nintendo or gaming today keep it locked to The Jester's Court.
