Xbox Entertainment Studios May Officially Close

Will we get the full Halo TV series?
After months of rumors swirling on the internet, Xbox Entertainment Studios may be no more.

According to a report by Variety, former CBS exec Nancy Tellem and the rest of her have been let go. Tellem was hired to helm the division in 2012, but it wasn't long until the company decided to wind down the division after Satya Nadella become Microsoft's new CEO and re-focused the Xbox divisions' efforts on games.

The only project that seems to have escaped unscathed is the Halo TV series, which is still on track to be finished before closing. This closure seems to be tied to Nadella's plan to change Microsoft as a whole and is probably included in the 18 000 layoffs planed.

My thoughts and best wishes go out to all who lost their job with the closure of the studio.
