Kingdom Hearts III Moves to Unreal Engine 4

How will the move affect the game's development?
A small update from the titular disney/final fantasy infused franchise has appeared online. Kingdom Hearts III will be moving from the company created Luminous Engine to Unreal Engine 4.

Speaking with Famitsu, director Tetsuya Nomura explains that the shift was for various reasons, and despite the move the game will not be held back any further. According to Nomura-san, Epic Games is working with the studio to help alleviate any issues with transferring between the two game engines.
