PlayStation TV Gets a Release Date

Sony dives into microconsoles.
Sony's microconsole PlayStation TV will launch on October 14th in the US. Costing $99.99 for the console, the PlayStation TV will have over 700 different games available at launch.

The PlayStation TV is built off of the PS Vita OS, so it can play PS One, PSP and PS Vita games as well as use Remote Play to stream your PS4. Aside from the standalone console, there will also be a Lego The Movie game bundle $139.99, which includes the console, a Dualshock 3 controller, an 8 GB memory card and Lego the Movie game as well as a limited time Sly Cooper bundle, which includes everything listed above with Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time rather than Lego the Movie game. Eventually, PS Now will also be supported on the microconsole. For more information on PlayStation TV, PS Vita or gaming news stay tuned to The Jester's Court.
