Bayonetta 2 Sales Much Lower Than Original

Frantic, action packed witch attacks at their best.
Bayonetta 2 has released in Japan, and the first week sales are not looking good. According to 4gamer, the Wii U exclusive has sold 81 percent less than the original game in its first week.

With sales figures looking at around 38 000 (though other reports show closer to 28 000), the sequel is selling significantly lower than the original, which sold around 200 000 between the PS3 and Xbox 360. There has been no word from Platinum Games nor Nintendo regarding the sales numbers.

It will be interesting to see what happens between the two companies, as Nintendo completely funded Bayonetta 2 and the director of Bayonetta 2 Yusuke Hashimoto has talked on numerous occasions about his desire to work with Nintendo again.
