Amazon Officially Owns Twitch

What's in store for Twitch under Amazon?

As of today, Amazon has officially completed its acquisition of Twitch, according to a new SEC filing stating "On September 25, 2014, Amazon.com, Inc. completed its acquisition of Twitch Interactive, Inc.". 

Purchased for $970 million in all cash, the gameplay streaming service will now operate under Amazon's umbrella, though operations are expected to continue as normal. Stay tuned to The Jester's Court for more news on Twitch, Amazon and gaming today.
