Nintendo Shows Off Splatoon Equipment

Nintendo has released some new screens to the third-person shooter Splatoon, with details explaining just how the customizable equipment will work in the game. 

As shown on Splatoon's Tumblr, players will earn coins while taking on friends in combat. These coins are then used to by clothing for their characters in the central hub area. Three separate stores hold the three different pieces of clothing: one for hats, one for your clothes and one for shoes. 

Each piece of equipment can be seen on your character and comes with a perk to start with.

Equipment will come with one perk to start with, but as the player continues to utilize the piece of apparel, more perks are unlocked. Continual use will also yield a top class perk, which is unique to the piece of equipment.

The perk circled in red is a new perk earned by the player.
