Nintendo Releases More Amiibo Information

At least Toon Link doesn't have the pee-yellow stick holding him up...
Nintendo announced today more information about Amiibos, including the second set and whether or not the toys are region-locked.

Announced through the company's Japanese website, the second set of Amiibos includes characters outside of Nintendo's franchises. On top of Bowser, Shulk and Toon Link, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man Amiibos are also part of the second and third wave of characters. For the full listing, check out the official website.

When it comes to region-locking, Nintendo has decided to not region-lock the Amiibo figures. Revealed by IGN, the figurines are able to move between regions without any concern about language problems or compatibility issues. The company is still looking into not region-locking it's game systems.
