343 Teams Up with ESL to Create the Halo Championship Series

Be the top Spartan this coming holiday season.
Teaming up with the official eSports league, 343 Industries has created the 'Halo Championship Series' to stream on Twitch.

The first season will start shortly after the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, running from November through March of 2015. Teams of four Spartans will compete in online and in-person LAN events. The top teams of the official bouts will be awarded HCS points, which will determine your eligibility for the season finals in March.

“With the HCS, we’re harnessing that passion and investing back into the community that’s still vibrant today," said Che Chou, 343 Industries Franchise Media Director. "In addition, our partnerships with ESL and Twitch – both parties with years of invaluable expertise – will help us realize our vision of quality and equality for the HCS.”

Fans can see an overview of the league information at Halo Waypoint, and 343 plans on releasing the official rule book in the weeks to come. Once released, players will be able to register for HCS. For more news on Xbox One, Halo, and gaming news today, keep it locked on The Jesters Court.
