Nintendo Direct Announces Majora's Mask Remake and More

Easily the slickest looking 3DS out there.
Yesterday Nintendo held another Nintendo Direct, this time focusing on what is to come for 3DS and Wii U.

The biggest announcement would easily be the official announcement of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the 3DS. Like the Ocarina of Time remake, the game will feature updated graphics with full 3D functionality. Check out the trailer below.

The next big announcement revolved around the Wii U exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles X. A brand new trailer showed off the gorgeous graphics as well as the gameplay, which looks very similar to the original Xenoblade Chronicles. The game is almost complete, according to Nintendo. Check out the trailer below:

Nintendo also gave some smaller announcements on games coming out soon. Mario Kart 8 is getting a new update to allow support with Amiibo. The Amiibo characters will unlock special racing suits, that can also be used with players Mii's.

Amiibo support for Hyrule Warriors has also been detailed. Amiibo characters will be used to unlock special weapons to utilize in combat. For example, Link can be used to unlock the Spinner from Twilight Princess. No other characters have been detailed.

Can't we get a new, fully HD Duck Hunt?
More levels for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker have been shown as well as details for NES Remix Ultimate, which is coming to 3DS and gives players a free 3DS theme. The Duck Hunt Dog has been officially announced for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and the original Duck Hunt game will be coming to Virtual Console, utilizing the Wii Mote rather than the original NES Zapper. Gameplay has been revealed for strategy game Project S.T.E.A.M. and a new trailer has detailed the single player experience for Splatoon.

So much news! Nintendo fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months. For more news on Wii U, 3DS and gaming news today, stay tuned to The Jesters Court.
