Super Smash Bros. Creator Unlikely to Make Next Game in Franchise

How can you top 8 person Smash?
Though there hasn't been an entry in the Super Smash Bros. franchise confirmed, it is more than likely happening seeing how successful the franchise has been on both 3DS and Wii U. However, despite this success, it looks like series creator will not be back for the next game.

Speaking with GameInformer, series creator Masahiro Sakurai spoke about the future of Super Smash Bros. "With both Melee and Brawl, I made those games with the thought that there wouldn't be any more sequels. Thus, I really can't deny the chance for another," said Sakurai-san. "However, as for myself, I don't think there will be." Sakurai-san attributes his desire to move on from the franchise with how massive the Wii U and 3DS version were, and how the next iteration of the game may be too difficult to appease fans.

Of course, this doesn't mean the end of the popular game series, but rather a move to another developer, despite how difficult the undertaking will be. For more news on Nintendo, Wii U and gaming news today, stay tuned to The Jesters Court.
