Phil Fish Wants to Sell Polygon - Gamer's Source

Hello and welcome to the Gamer's Source, your destination for gaming information. Founder of Polytron and creator of Fez Phil Fish is leaving the internet and gaming after being hacked. SO, without further ado, the news:

  • Phil Fish is Done for Good - Phil Fish, founder of Polytron and creator of Fez, is looking to sell the rights to his creations. After being hacked and having all of his personal information leaked online, the divisive developer is done for good and is open to sell both Polytron and Fez to anyone who is serious to buy. The last tweet left online by Fish before he closed his account state his emotions quite clearly, saying

“this is videogames. this is what i get. this is unacceptable. this is not okay. terrorist. never again, you hear me? never again. this is videogames. this is your audience. to every aspiring game developer out there: don’t. give up. it’s not worth it. nothing is worth this. give up on your dreams. they are actually nightmares. just don’t do it. RUN AWAY”

I personally was very tired of Fish's attitude online, but he didn't deserve this. The man is pretty innocent of everything except not being able to mask his frustration and temper. It's unfortunate that it has come to this, though hopefully he finds peace and we gamers get Fez 2.
Here's a list of smaller, self explanatory news stories that you should know about:
  • The Walking Dead - Season 2 final episode will release next week.
  • Naughty Dog releases two free multiplayer maps while continuing to work on match making for The Last of Us.
  • Warframe for PS4 is releasing a new, larger update to fix some bugs and add interesting new features, including pets.
  • PlayStation Plus members now have access to a Starter Pack for DC Universe Online, which includes the Green Lantern DLC Fight for the Light and more.
  • Pokemon Art Academy releases on October 24th.
And that is all for today. With GamesCom behind us and Tokyo Game Show ahead of us, news will be a bit slow, but still some interesting tidbits none the less.
