Sony is Creating a Pro Gaming Platform for PS4

Sony revealed today its eSports platform for the PlayStation 4. Titled the PlayStation Official League, the platform will utilize matchmaking to offer rewards to players of various AAA games.

The platform will start launching tomorrow in Spain before branching out into other countries. The service is being supported by numerous third party publishers, with games like Battlefield 4 and FIFA 15 being supported from the get go.

The service, which will be available for PS Plus subscribers, will be playable within 'seasons', allowing players to build up their rank over numerous months to hopefully attain the prize at the end of the 'season' before starting all over again for the next 'season.'
