PlayStation Plus Almost at 8 Million Users

Sony's amazing service is gaining users.

Last week, during an earnings call, Sony announced that PlayStation Plus has bit 7.9 million annual paid subscribers, according to GamesIndustry.biz.

The service offers a selection of 'free' games for all three of Sony's current consoles, replacing the six games with a new selection every month. The service is also required to play most online games on PS4. For comparisons sake, Xbox Live has 48 million active users, with half of those being paid members, according to the Verge.
