Geoff Keighley Is Creating The Game Awards

Branching out to start his own game awards show, Geoff Keighley.
A new video game award show is popping up, and Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft seem to be endorsing it. Game industry personality Geoff Keighley announced today plans to produce The Game Awards

The award show will have it's debut broadcast live from the Axis Theater in Las Vegas this December 4th. The show will have counsel from a host of advisory board members from around the industry. Members include Xbox chief Phil Spencer, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, SCEA CEO Shawn Layden and others from various industry giants such as EA and Ubisoft.

The event will be livestreamed on all of the current consoles as well as Steam. This is pretty interesting, especially when you take into account the fact that Keighley has been working with Spike TV for years on its own video game awards show, which usually happens in December. Keep your eyes on The Jesters Court for more news on gaming today.
