Who wants more Final Fantasy on the go? |
“The potential is always there, but I’ve been making games recently on console,” says Tabata. He then goes to talk about how he would create a Final Fantasy game for a handheld and how it would be focused on multiplayer. “Hypothetically, personally speaking, if I were to work on a Final Fantasy game for, say, the Vita platform, I would love to implement elements of co-op play and versus play, and have a Final Fantasy that has roots in allowing for people to play together.”
Something like this could be in the Vita's future |
Tabata continues, speaking about how much he tries to bring out the best qualities of the systems he develops for with regard to the system's specs. "Of course, I’ve worked on titles on handheld, and I’d aim for the best quality on a limited screen size and try to bring out the best in the device.” Tabata is currently in charge of Final Fantasy XV development, but it is entirely possible for him to start on another project as well.
